Cheyenne+J'Vonta engagement session/La Jolla Cove May2014

Cheyenne and J'Vonta came from San Fransisco for their photoshoot. They had a short window to do their engagement shoot. This was the first time I had to do the photo shoot right in the middle of the day at 12pm. Thanks to the Sunny rule 16 I learned in school I managed to get it done :)

How they met:

At the time they met,Cheyenne was living in the Las Vegas area and J'Vonta was on vacation in Las Vegas. They bumped into each other one night on the Las Vegas strip and had an instant connection and have been inseparable ever since.Since the couple lived hundreds  of miles apart, Cheyenne would typically fly to San Diego to see J'Vonta every other weekend. On March 28th, 2014 after a long day of work, Cheyenne hopped on a plane to San Diego for what she thought would be just like every other visit, but this trip would turn like no other.

J'Vonta picked Cheyenne up from the airport and took her out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. As soon as they were seated JVonta said he forgot something in the car and left to go outside.Unbeknownst to Cheyenne, J'Vonta went to retrieve the engagement ring from the car and call his mother to inform her that he was about to propose. While J'Vonta was outside, an earthquake hit Southern California, rattling the entire restaurant and at that point Cheyenne was ready to call it a night. However, when J'Vonta returned inside he presented Cheyenne the engagement ring and asked her to be his wife and although she was shocked she said "YES!" without hesitation.
