My Interview with Voyage Magazine.

Thank you Voyage's Bold Journey Magazine for your interview. My goal is to be an Inspiring Artist and I am honored to be chosen to share my story.

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sofia Ameri a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sofia, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I just followed my passion and ignored all the negative talks. Every time I heard “You can’t do it ” made me stronger and more certain that I can and I will.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am currently working on getting ready for my photography exhibition in Oct. I photographed 40 women in their 40’s and older and we are going to celebrate and highlight the beauty, strength and wisdom of women 40 and over and share their stories.

I also wrote my own first movie and I am in the process of directing and producing it. I am beyond excited to bring this movie to life as It has been a long time dream of mine.

Being a creative artist is who I am and I cant Imagine myself being anything else.

As an artist I feel my purpose is to be inspiring for others either as an actor or photographer.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1- Stay laser focused. Do not get side tracked or discouraged from your goal and purpose. 2-Believe in yourself . You got this!
3- Keep going! be persistent.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
My challenge is being too hard on myself. I need to remind myself to take breaks and take care of myself.
